Samantha moved to San Diego in 2012 after serving in the Peace Corps, and it was here that she got her first real introduction to yoga. She started practicing yoga on and off at various studios as a complement to her other physical activities and to seek out a way to process all of the stress she had from her full time job as a project manager. In 2013 she came to Sol Yoga and fell in love with the classes, the teachers, and the community of yogis and made it her home studio and practice space.
In 2016 she completed her 200hr teacher training at Sol Yoga and started teaching shortly thereafter throughout the greater San Diego area. After quitting her job in early 2018 she left to travel for a few months to study Thai massage in Thailand and teach yoga throughout her travels in South East Asia and North West Africa. She loves being able to guide students through their yoga practice and creating a space where everyone can move freely, breathe together, and foster an energy that students can take off their mats.
