Victoria dabbled in yoga throughout college, but it wasn’t until she sustained a serious knee injury when she discovered the healing power of the practice. Despite struggling to walk even on crutches, Victoria completed a 30-Day Bikram challenge in order to keep her body moving and took modifications for every pose. After moving to San Diego, Victoria and her then boyfriend discovered Sol Yoga and the joys of Hot Power Vinyasa in early 2012. They embarked on a yoga journey together and practiced at Sol for 5 ½ years before completing their teacher training in 2016 and getting married in the midst of it!
Victoria loves the challenges of yoga and strongly believes in being a student of the practice, constantly working to fine-tune her alignment, and encourages her students to do the same. It’s not about how deep you go in a pose…it’s about connecting to your body and your breath, moving in a way that’s safe for your body, and having fun. Victoria has also completed a Yin teacher training and enjoys introducing the idea of Yin in order to balance out the Yang in our everyday lives.
